Ben Shirinian’s feature directorial debut, The Housewife, has had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, Armenian Film Society writes.

The Housewife stars Naomi Watts, Tye Sheridan, Luke Evans, Michael Imperioli, and Lena Olin, and is a psychological historical thriller about a journalist whose search for a Nazi in hiding leads him into the carefully constructed world of a seemingly ordinary New York housewife.

Ben Shirinian is an Armenian-Canadian director whose grandparents were survivors of the Armenian Genocide. Born and raised in Montreal and now based in Toronto, Ben Shirinian first gained recognition for his visually striking short films and dance collaborations, including Lost in Motion, created with National Ballet of Canada dancer and choreographer Guillaume Côté.
