Ring, Birth Control and Obsessive Messages: Kim Kardashian Secures Protection for Her Four Children

Kim Kardashian has secured a court extension of a restraining order against a man accused of stalking the star and attempting to get close to her family. The order now protects not only the 45-year-old reality star but also her four children.

The man in question is Nicholas Costanza, who in 2021 sent unusual packages to Kardashian’s mansion in Hidden Hills — a diamond ring and the emergency contraceptive Plan B.

According to TMZ, Kardashian’s attorneys asked a judge in July to extend the existing restraining order, which was nearing its expiration date, and to add her children to the order. The court granted the request on September 10.

The protection now covers North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7 — Kardashian’s four children with her ex-husband, Kanye West.

The new restraining order will remain in effect for five years, through August 3, 2031.

Kardashian’s attorneys argued that Costanza’s behavior had not changed, citing what they described as his “delusional beliefs, anger and obsession.” They also alleged that he had violated the terms of the restraining order by sending messages to Kim.

One such incident reportedly occurred in 2024. According to TMZ, Costanza unlawfully entered a home that he claimed he had purchased himself and then asked Kardashian to come there with her four children.

In October 2021, the man had already been arrested after entering the grounds of Kardashian’s Hidden Hills mansion despite a five-year restraining order that was already in place. Security detained him before police arrived at the scene.

Costanza was charged with felony offenses, ordered to post $150,000 bail and required to stay at least 100 yards away from Kardashian and have no contact with her.

The original restraining order was issued in 2021 after Costanza sent the star a diamond ring and Plan B at her home. He was also accused of making threats against and stalking Kardashian and members of her family.

Representatives for Kim Kardashian and her attorneys have yet to respond to the Daily Mail’s request for comment.

The Kardashian family has faced similar incidents before. In August, a permanent restraining order was also issued against a man accused of stalking Kylie Jenner.

According to court documents, Kyle Robert DeWick repeatedly showed up uninvited outside Jenner’s home in 2021 and was subsequently arrested for trespassing.

Kris Jenner, the family matriarch and manager, claimed that in recent months the man had once again attempted to “get close” to the celebrity family.

A temporary restraining order was issued against him in May and was later extended. According to court documents, it will remain in effect for another three years, through July 31, 2029.
