Viewers have expressed outrage over a “disturbing” threesome scene involving Orlando Bloom and real-life sisters Rooney and Kate Mara.

Fans of the film have reacted strongly to the controversial scene after Bloom discussed the intimate sequence from his upcoming movie “Bucking Fastard” at the San Sebastián Film Festival in Spain over the weekend.

“Ugh… this is just horrible. What job should I definitely NOT look for so I don’t accidentally have to watch this disgusting thing?” one Reddit user wrote.

However, some users defended the actors, pointing out that they were simply doing their jobs as performers.

Orlando Bloom, 49, spoke over the weekend about his “genuine” threesome scene with 41-year-old Rooney Mara and 43-year-old Kate Mara.

“There’s a simplicity to these characters, in their physical desires, but there’s also an innocence to the sisters,” the actor said at the San Sebastián festival, according to Variety.

In the film, Bloom plays Gareth Mulroney, a man caught between twin sisters Joan and Jean Holbrook, portrayed by Rooney Mara and Kate Mara, respectively.

According to the actor, the intimate scene became a “very genuine moment” that he created together with Rooney and Kate.

Director Werner Herzog also discussed the scene, explaining that sometimes a filmmaker needs to “step aside” and allow the actors to find the right tone for a scene themselves.

“You’re lying in bed, and you have two women in your arms. How do you deal with that? I can’t give you instructions,” the 84-year-old German director recalled telling Bloom.

Herzog described the scene as “beautiful,” emphasizing that it has “a particular charm and depth.”
