Madonna Poses in Sheer Lingerie and Tights for Daring Photoshoot Celebrating New Album

Madonna has teased fans with sexy behind-the-scenes photos from a photoshoot celebrating the new merchandise collection for her much-talked-about album Confessions II.

In one of the backstage shots, the 68-year-old pop icon poses in a sheer bra and tights as she gets ready for a glamorous social media shoot.

The singer also showed off a collection of rhinestone-covered hoodies and T-shirts, pairing her looks with fishnet tights.

“Dress me up in my merch…” Madonna captioned the series of photos, which racked up thousands of likes and comments within hours. Among the celebrities who reacted to the post were Kylie Minogue and Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie, who left a simple: “SOLD!”

Released in July, Confessions II was hailed by critics as a major comeback for Madonna and her best work since her 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor, which the new record serves as a follow-up to.

The album topped the U.S. Billboard 200, while Madonna received 11 nominations for the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards.

That is the most nominations among all artists nominated this year, as well as a record number of VMA nominations for Madonna at a single ceremony. Throughout her career, the singer has already won the award 19 times.

The MTV Video Music Awards will take place on Sunday, September 27, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Madonna will also take the stage for a live performance — her first since her previous appearance at the ceremony 23 years ago, which sparked considerable controversy.
