FBI Director Kash Patel is engaged to country singer and former Rumble host Alexis Wilkins.

Wilkins, 27, announced on X that Patel, 46, who was appointed to the position by President Donald Trump, had proposed to her.

“Went and got the law involved,” Wilkins jokingly captioned a photo of herself with Patel, showing off her engagement ring.

Patel and Wilkins have been dating since at least 2023. In February 2025, Wilkins was by her partner’s side when he was sworn in as FBI director.

In July 2025, appearing on The Megyn Kelly Show, Wilkins revealed that she met Patel at an event held at a mutual friend’s home in Nashville.

Although the FBI director’s future wife spent part of her childhood in England and Switzerland, she grew up primarily in Arkansas.

Today, Wilkins is pursuing a career in country music. According to her LinkedIn profile, she has worked as a singer, performer and songwriter since August 2007. In April 2023, she released her debut EP, Grit.

In addition to music, Wilkins is involved in political commentary. Since May 2025, she has worked as a consultant for The American Border Story project, and since June 2025, she has served on the board of the National Rifle Association (NRA). She has also been an ambassador for Turning Point USA and has worked with The Unity Project.

Wilkins has also appeared with Patel at numerous public events. In June 2026, the couple attended UFC Freedom 250 on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C.

Patel was sworn in as the FBI’s ninth director on February 21, 2025, after being nominated for the position by U.S. President Donald Trump.
