OnlyFans Star Fires Back at Pete Davidson Over His Mockery of Female Influencers: “Let Him Try It Himself”

OnlyFans star Sophie Rain has challenged Pete Davidson to “put his money where his mouth is” after the comedian mocked influencers who make millions of dollars online.

The former Saturday Night Live cast member became the subject of viral discussion this week after making blunt remarks about women who, he claimed, earn up to $40 million a year while “doing practically nothing.” Rain, who reportedly earns around $45 million annually, was quick to respond.

“I’d say to him, if it’s really that easy, let him try it himself,” she told The Post.

Rain noted that Davidson has even joked about starting his own OnlyFans account.

“He’s joked about starting his own OnlyFans, so he clearly understands that there’s money to be made there. But if you think people are making millions by accident, then you probably don’t really understand how the business works,” she said.

The 22-year-old Rain said Davidson’s comments sounded as though they were directed specifically at her and other successful content creators on the platform. At the same time, she noted that the comedian deliberately avoided naming anyone in particular.

“If you’re going to complain about girls making millions online, at least say who you’re talking about,” she said.

Rain, who grew up in Miami and previously relied on food stamps, described Davidson’s comments as being out of touch with reality. She was particularly surprised because the two have never met or even spoken.

“Pete has never tried to date me or even slid into my DMs. Maybe that’s why he has such a poor understanding of what I actually do,” she joked.

The controversy began with an interview Davidson gave to Variety. The comedian said he found it frustrating to think about how much money some women make online.

“Girls are just talking to themselves on there... And I’m like, ‘Who are you? What do you do? Nothing,’” he said.

“They’re making $40 million a year... And I’m like, ‘The world is f***ed.’”

Rain, who is known on OnlyFans for presenting herself as a virgin and keeping her content to suggestive but non-explicit photos and videos in lingerie and bikinis, said Davidson was drastically oversimplifying what she does.

“It’s very easy to watch a 60-second video and say, ‘What does this person even do?’ when you have no idea how much work goes into building an audience or running an online business. I understand that he’s a comedian, but this whole ‘girls do nothing’ thing is just a lazy joke,” she said.

According to Rain, there is a huge amount of work behind the seemingly effortless content she produces.

“I’m constantly filming, taking photos, editing, planning content, talking to subscribers, analyzing statistics, coordinating shoots, traveling and working with my team. There are days when I work from the moment I wake up until I go to sleep. Just because the end result looks effortless and casual doesn’t mean it was easy to create,” she stressed.

Rain also finds Davidson’s comments particularly ironic because the comedian does not use social media. He has previously spoken about how seriously negative comments online affected him.

Rain herself has 15.4 million followers on TikTok alone. She believes it is difficult for someone like Davidson to understand how much work goes into building the level of popularity she has achieved.

At the same time, Rain acknowledged that Davidson can be genuinely funny, but said she did not think his jokes about female influencers landed well.

The 32-year-old Davidson is currently single following his recent split from model and actress Elsie Hewitt, the mother of his child. The comedian has previously dated high-profile women including Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale and Emily Ratajkowski.

“Obviously, he has his qualities. I just don’t think dating famous women automatically makes someone an expert on women who have built their own online businesses,” Rain said.
