‘A Mustang Full of Testosterone’: Man Describes Meeting Jesus After 18 Days in a Coma

20:24   6 October, 2026

An American man who claims to have met Jesus after spending 18 days in a coma described him as a man who stood “about six feet tall, but as tall as eternity” and compared him to “a Mustang overflowing with testosterone.”

In October 2021, Gabe Poirier was riding an electric skateboard at around 30 mph without a helmet when he hit a small bump in the road. Gabe lost his balance, flipped backward and landed directly on his head.

The impact fractured his skull and caused a severe traumatic brain injury. Gabe was 20 years old at the time.

However, during his 18 days in a coma, he says he experienced something resembling a near-death experience. Gabe claims that he left his body, met Jesus and discovered that heaven was not a place, but a person.

According to him, Earth is actually “unreal,” while heaven is the true existence.

Gabe told Fox News that Jesus had been “waiting his whole life specifically for me,” while Gabe himself was seemingly “pulled” into a “tunnel of light” from which he could see his own body from above.

“I saw my friend holding my body in his arms and praying. And the closer I got to that light, the more I realized that I had an appointment. I saw nurses with stunned expressions on their faces, as if they were thinking, ‘How is he even alive?’” he said.

“When Jesus looked at me, he lifted my face and said, ‘Gabriel, why are you worried about something that has already been paid for?’”

Gabe said that at first, he did not see Jesus face-to-face. “My face was down, and I was so afraid that a list of all my mistakes was about to appear and that I was finished,” he recalled.

Gabe added that he was convinced there was no hope for him. But, he says, Jesus showed him the wounds on his hands and said, “They have a name: Gabriel.”

Gabe claims that Jesus had endured that suffering for him.

“It was as if I were the only one who mattered to him. And I will forever be the only one. He had been waiting his whole life specifically for me.”

Gabe later said that the heaven he was heading toward turned out not simply to be a destination, but “a person.”

What is more, he said that wherever he looked, he could see heaven — in the mountains, the trees and the world around him.

“When the wind touches the leaves, they move back and forth, and there’s a certain note in them. They sing, ‘Worthy is the Lamb,’ and then the waves and the rivers in the waters of life pick up that same note and answer, ‘Worthy is the Lamb.’

“Even the sand receives the waves, and they sing, ‘Worthy is the Lamb.’”

Describing what heaven looked like, Gabe said its colors were “impossible to put into words.”

According to his experience, Jesus was everywhere — “to the left, to the right, in the center, behind” him — and there was “nowhere to hide” from him.

Gabe compared his encounter with Jesus to “a soldier free-falling into an ocean of liquid love.”

“That’s where I found myself,” he said.

When Gabe was asked what Jesus looked like, his answers were somewhat contradictory. But on one point, he was absolutely certain: Jesus is a man.

According to Gabe, Jesus was “filled with testosterone.”

“America has portrayed Jesus incorrectly. There are so many cultural images that depict him as some kind of tolerant guy.”

But, Gabe insists, “that is not the Jesus I met.” He compared him to a lion.

“He’s not a lion who is angry at me. He’s a lion who is angry for me. He’s a Mustang who acts on my behalf. He did all of this for me.”

Ultimately, Gabe described Jesus as “pure fire.” He said Jesus stood roughly six feet tall, “and yet was as tall as eternity.”

In Gabe’s recollection, Jesus looked like “an ocean of love,” while his eyes simultaneously “burned white and red.”

Well, now you know: according to Gabe Poirier, Jesus is a roughly six-foot-tall man who roars like a lion.
