Mark Zuckerberg’s Sister Reveals Her Secret Passion: She’s Been DJing for Eight Years

Mark Zuckerberg’s younger sister, Arielle, appears to be just as capable of surprising people as her famous brother.

The 37-year-old entrepreneur has revealed that she has secretly been working as a DJ since 2018. Her unusual hobby came to light after a video of her performing during San Francisco Tech Week surfaced online.

“I’ve been DJing since 2018. I’ve played clubs, small festivals, Burning Man and other events,” Arielle wrote in a post on X.

She stressed, however, that music remains more of a pastime than a primary career.

“Technically, I’m a professional, but for me it’s more of a side quest. Mostly, I play for friends and with friends — to have fun and bring people joy,” she admitted.

The billionaire’s sister regularly plays techno and electronic music. She is also part of the DJ duo Ellen Ride with Raed Khawaja. The San Francisco Bay Area duo releases music on platforms such as SoundCloud and has already released an original track titled “Attention.”

Arielle’s musical career, however, is far from the first unexpected turn her life has taken.

Like her older brother, she began her career in the tech industry. Arielle worked as a product manager at Wildfire, Google and Humin before moving into venture capital.

She later became a partner at Kleiner Perkins and Coatue Management before joining Long Journey Ventures, where she currently serves as a general partner.

In 2019, Arielle was named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list in the venture capital category.

She studied at Claremont McKenna College, where she majored in psychology, public policy and computer science. She earned her bachelor’s degree in 2011.
