19:40 8 October, 2026Zuhair Murad took a step away from his signature evening glamour with a lighter, more relaxed ready-to-wear collection for spring.

This time, the Lebanese designer drew inspiration from the beaches of the Mediterranean, replacing his trademark emphasis on femininity with looser silhouettes, flowing fabrics and an abundance of fringe.

Draping, asymmetrical skirts and high-neck trapeze silhouettes allowed the clothes to move more freely. At the same time, Murad remained faithful to his love of a defined waist, expanding the collection to include looks for both daytime and evening.

The lineup featured relaxed jumpsuits and cocktail suits in black satin, paired with jackets finished with decorative fastenings. The designer also experimented with craftsmanship: his signature embroidery was reimagined to resemble crochet, while beads and tassels gave the looks a subtly bohemian feel.

Floral motifs from his couture collection were transformed into brooches and sculptural embellishments on lapels. Murad reinterpreted corset elements through layers of fabric, softening the usual “wasp waist” effect.

One of the standout looks was a pink sheath dress featuring oversized loops at the back — a style with a distinct Marilyn Monroe influence that could easily find its way onto the red carpet during the next awards season.

Murad also continued to expand his accessories line, introducing pouch bags and envelope clutches, oversized ’80s-inspired earrings and an enamel necklace with dangling charms that can also be worn as a belt. The ZM monogram appeared on straps and fastenings, adding golden accents even to the collection’s minimalist jersey dresses.
