19:29 9 October, 2026Susan Dell, the wife of Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell, has unexpectedly sparked a storm of reactions on social media following her appearance at the White House. Rather than focusing on the multibillion-dollar philanthropic initiative she was there to discuss, users began scrutinizing the 62-year-old’s face, comparing recent photographs with pictures from previous years and debating how her appearance had changed.

On October 7, Susan Dell and her husband met with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss the Trump Accounts program, which provides investment accounts for American children. However, after her remarks, online attention quickly shifted to her face, makeup and expression.
Social media users began circulating photographs of Susan Dell from different periods in an attempt to trace changes in her appearance. Some linked the discussion to the term Mar-a-Lago face, an expression used online to describe a particular polished aesthetic that commenters associate with certain women in Trump’s political and social circles.
“Here it is — Mar-a-Lago face!” one user wrote on X. Others mocked her hairstyle, makeup and the way she presented herself in front of the cameras.

Some comments were particularly harsh. One user compared Dell’s appearance to a character from a Tim Burton film, while another expressed disbelief, writing, “Please tell me this is AI!” Such remarks reflected reactions to the video and photographs but did not indicate that the images had been generated or altered.
Other commenters speculated that cosmetic procedures might explain the changes. Discussions included suggestions of a possible facelift, injections and other aesthetic treatments. However, none of these claims has been confirmed. Susan Dell has not publicly discussed undergoing such procedures, and her representatives have not substantiated the rumors.
The online reaction was far from unanimous. Some users considered the discussion of Dell’s appearance excessively cruel, pointing out that she had visited the White House to speak in support of children’s investment accounts, not to put her looks on display.

“Is mocking a woman’s appearance your greatest contribution?” one commenter asked, noting that the focus on her looks had overshadowed the philanthropic initiative.
In December 2025, Michael and Susan Dell announced plans to contribute $6.25 billion to fund Trump Accounts. Under their proposal, approximately 25 million children would each receive $250 in investment accounts.

Speaking at the White House, Susan Dell shared letters from families who had received support and emphasized that what matters for children is not just having money, but also feeling that people believe in their future.
Nevertheless, on social media, her remarks were largely overshadowed by the debate over her appearance.
