10:55 14 October, 2026Chinese influencer Xiao Yue, who rose to fame on TikTok for her relationship with a man significantly shorter than her, has died at the age of 26. Her husband, Zihao, announced her death on Monday. The social media star stood 218cm (7ft 2in) tall.
According to media reports, Xiao Yue suffered from pituitary gigantism, a rare condition caused by excessive production of growth hormone. She also had secondary diabetes.

In July 2026, Zihao told his followers that his wife’s health had deteriorated. He said she had been diagnosed with a pituitary tumor and a meningioma, a growth that develops in the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord.
According to Yangtze News, her condition led to severe hyperglycemia, kidney failure and other complications.
Xiao Yue was due to undergo surgery to remove the brain tumor, but tragically died before doctors could carry out the procedure.
“The doctor told me that her condition was actually not that serious and that removing the tumor from her brain would only require minimally invasive surgery. I never thought this illness could take someone’s life,” Zihao wrote in a farewell message.

He added that his wife was now free from pain and illness, expressing hope that she would never have to suffer again.
Her husband also remembered Xiao Yue for her cheerful personality, emphasizing that she always tried to help others whenever they asked.
“No matter what people said about her, she always did what they asked of her,” he wrote.
Xiao Yue was born in China’s Sichuan province. She and Zihao were together for four years and built a large following by sharing videos of their everyday life.

The influencer stood approximately 218cm (7ft 2in) tall, while her husband was considerably shorter at around 165cm (5ft 5in). The couple welcomed a son in October 2025.
