12:13 15 October, 2026Victoria Beckham showed off an unexpectedly cheeky side during an appearance on the American TODAY show. The former Spice Girl shared tequila with hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones before making a saucy joke about her husband David Beckham’s “big cucumber.”
When Victoria last appeared on the show, she was treated to a martini. This time, the hosts once again set out to make their guest feel at ease — quite literally adding a little alcohol to the mix.
Jenna and Sheinelle downed their tequila shots and followed them with a wedge of lemon, while Victoria settled for two tiny sips. The hosts immediately noticed and jokingly remarked that it was exactly how a proper lady should drink.
But the most memorable moment of the interview came when the conversation turned to David Beckham’s unusual hobby: competitive gardening.
Jenna showed a photo of her own cucumbers, before an image of 51-year-old David appeared on screen, proudly holding one of the giant vegetables he had grown. The vegetable in question was a large tromboncino squash, which the former footballer cultivates in his extensive garden in the Cotswolds.
Stunned by its size, Victoria exclaimed, “It looks like a musical instrument!”
Jenna then admitted that she thought David’s cucumber was bigger than her own.
“Well, I’ve heard you have very impressive cucumbers,” Victoria teased the host with a mischievous smile.
When the image of David holding the enormous vegetable appeared on screen again, the designer could not resist another quip.
“Isn’t it a little early to be talking about this? We’ve had tequila, and now we’re talking about this… What is going on?” she joked, prompting laughter in the studio.
Sheinelle remarked that she loved seeing the couple at a stage in their lives when they could enjoy this kind of playful banter and spend time together doing something they genuinely loved.
In response, Victoria admitted that gardening had become a special way for her and her husband to spend quality time together.
“You know, we work so hard, so we really value the time we spend together in the vegetable garden. Sometimes we have a glass of wine,” she said.
The designer explained that they cherish these moments and try to protect them from outside attention.
“It’s so lovely to do something together. We really treasure those moments and try to protect them. And, by the way, his vegetables are impressive!” Victoria concluded.
