‘He’s the Best Boss’: Former White House Press Secretary Reveals Trump’s Unexpected Side

Former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt connected with her 3.1 million Instagram followers, answering questions about her personal life, relationships with significant age gaps, US President Donald Trump and raising children.

Leavitt held an informal “Ask Me Anything” session, sharing career advice, discussing family life and offering a surprisingly warm assessment of her former boss.

The former press secretary responded to her followers’ questions through short text posts and video clips.

One of the most talked-about questions concerned the US president’s personality. A user asked whether Donald Trump was genuinely kind and pleasant to be around.

“Yes! He’s the best boss,” Leavitt replied enthusiastically, accompanying her post with a photo of the president giving a thumbs-up.

Leavitt also addressed relationships with significant age differences. Her own husband, real estate developer Nicholas Riccio, is 32 years older than she is.

“Forget the people who criticize you and follow your heart!” she advised women in similar relationships.

Leavitt met Riccio in 2022 while campaigning for a seat in Congress in New Hampshire. She lost the general election to Democrat Chris Pappas.

The couple welcomed their first child in 2024 and married in 2025.

“He is the best husband and father in the world. When people actually get to know him and see us together, they understand why we’re together,” Leavitt shared.

The former press secretary also explained why she avoids showing her children’s faces in social media photos.

“I wish I didn’t have to do that because my children are incredibly cute. But I believe it’s the right thing to do to protect their innocence,” the mother of two admitted.
