“I’m Not a Demon”: Kim Kardashian’s 13-Year-Old Daughter Responds to Criticism of Her Appearance

North West, the 13-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, has responded to criticism of her bold personal style. During a TikTok livestream with her mother, the teenager addressed comments claiming that her appearance looked “demonic.”

“Stop saying I’m a demon. No, I’m not. Just because I like dressing like this, don’t judge a book by its cover,” North said.

Kim Kardashian suggested that the comments might be related to her daughter’s black grills and multiple piercings. North herself, however, does not understand why her style is associated with anything demonic.

During the livestream, the teenager also explained the symbolism behind the white gothic look she wore for her first solo concert at The Vic Theatre in Chicago in September. According to North, she deliberately chose white to express her faith.

“I thought, if this is my first performance, I should come out looking like an angel, all in white. You know I’m not about demons. I believe in Jesus. I wanted to show you that I bring light, not darkness,” she explained.

Kardashian supported her daughter, noting that her interest in unconventional style began in early childhood. According to the star, before starting kindergarten, North dreamed of getting a septum and eyebrow piercing. Even as a preschooler, she experimented with clip-on jewelry.

North also rejected suggestions that her current look was connected to her parents’ divorce, which was finalized in 2022.

In recent months, the celebrity daughter’s appearance has regularly sparked discussion on social media. Her blue hair, piercings in various parts of her body and temporary tattoos have attracted particular attention. However, in an interview with Dazed published in August, North explained that she uses fashion and beauty experiments simply as a way to express herself.

“Everyone is in love with boys, vaping and doing all these bad things. I just want blue hair and piercings,” she said.

Her parents still set certain limits. North admitted that she would like to get a bridge piercing, but she has not been given permission yet.
