Australian model Sarah Ray has reportedly died following a suspected fentanyl overdose. On Friday, the 34-year-old woman allegedly took the synthetic opioid and was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital, where she was placed on life support, according to the Daily Mail.

Her family made the difficult decision to withdraw life support on Sunday, a source told the publication.

The official cause of death has not yet been established. It is also unclear whether the suspected overdose was accidental or intentional.

Ray rose to prominence not only through her modeling career but also through her reported relationship with Justin Bieber. The Australian model was romantically linked to the Canadian singer in 2016.

The tragedy comes just months after Ray welcomed her first child. In January, she gave birth to a daughter, Snow Ray Doe. In April, she introduced the baby to the public for the first time, sharing a touching video of the two cuddling tenderly.
