“That’s Not My Job”: NBA Star LaMelo Ball Admits He Doesn’t Change His Son’s Diapers

NBA star LaMelo Ball has opened up about how parenting duties are divided in his family. The basketball player revealed that he does not change diapers for his nine-month-old son, LaOn, because he considers it his girlfriend Ana Montana’s responsibility.

“My girl does all that. And that’s cool, we love each other,” the 25-year-old athlete said during an appearance on Inside the NBA.

According to Ball, he and his partner have a clear division of responsibilities, and each knows what they are expected to do.

Host Ernie Johnson pointed out that the basketball star was missing out on a lot by choosing not to take part in such everyday childcare. In response, LaMelo clarified that he had changed his son’s diapers before, but did not consider it his responsibility.

“I’ve definitely done it before, you know what I’m saying? But that’s just not my job. Not my job,” he insisted.

LaMelo Ball and Ana Montana, whose real name is Analicia Chaves, welcomed their son, LaOn, in January 2026. The baby is now nine months old.
