The FBI investigated a report alleging that Hunter Biden, son of former US President Joe Biden, threatened a Los Angeles sex worker and claimed to know her whereabouts. The allegations are detailed in declassified federal documents released on Friday.

According to an FBI affidavit, the woman contacted the bureau in December 2020, claiming she had received a message from Biden that she interpreted as a threat.

“Don’t forget that I know where you are, you’re wearing an ankle monitor, and the laptop was recording,” the message reportedly read, according to the documents.

The woman also told investigators that she had sex with Biden in front of a laptop during a video call with a third party. She alleged that Biden had not paid for her services and later threatened her for a period of time in an attempt to recover some of his money. The documents do not specify when the alleged incident took place.

FBI employees’ correspondence shows that they discussed the report in December 2020. Nikki Floris, a former senior bureau official, was also aware of it. In 2023, Floris told Congress that she had not discussed investigations involving Hunter Biden with her colleagues.

The controversial laptop

Hunter Biden’s laptop contained tens of thousands of emails, thousands of photographs and dozens of videos. According to the New York Post, some of the material included images of Biden with sex workers and strippers.

Hunter Biden repeatedly questioned the authenticity of the files, but FBI agents and federal prosecutors confirmed the authenticity of the material in court.

In 2024, Biden was found guilty of illegally possessing a firearm. He also pleaded guilty in a case involving the failure to pay $1.4 million in taxes. In December 2024, shortly before leaving office, Joe Biden pardoned his son.
