16:34 24 October, 2026Valentina Pinault, the 19-year-old daughter of Hollywood actress Salma Hayek and French billionaire François-Henri Pinault, has topped Tatler magazine’s list of Britain’s 200 most eligible young people. Despite her parents’ immense fortune, Valentina reportedly prefers London pubs, underground parties and trips to IKEA to exclusive luxury clubs.
Valentina shares the top spot on the magazine’s Little Black Book list with rising rugby star Henry Pollock. Her mother is an Oscar nominee, while her father chairs the board of luxury conglomerate Kering, which owns fashion houses including Gucci, Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen. According to the publication’s estimates, her parents have a combined net worth of around $7.2 billion.

Valentina is currently studying digital media and culture at King’s College London. But rather than spending her evenings in Chelsea’s upscale bars and exclusive clubs, she prefers Fabric nightclub and Lost parties, where mobile phones are banned.
“I think London culture is my favorite thing in the world. I love pub culture and British humor, those little things that are hard to find anywhere else,” she told Tatler.
Asked whether she preferred martinis or champagne, Valentina answered without hesitation: “Vodka.” She added that when it comes to drinking, she tends to favor taking shots.

Growing up in a famous family has also taught Valentina to be cautious about life in the public eye. She says she does not mind people seeing what she gets up to, but dislikes the idea of having every move monitored and discussed on social media.
“Growing up with parents who are public figures helped me understand what I don’t want for myself. I don’t mind people seeing what I’m doing, but I don’t like the idea that they can comment on my actions or follow my life,” she explained.
Dreaming of Hollywood
Valentina has already appeared on the cover of Vogue Mexico alongside her mother. In a Spanish-language interview published in 2022, Hayek spoke about becoming a mother later in life and her attitude toward her daughter’s creative ambitions.

At the time, Valentina revealed that she dreamed of becoming an actress and eventually trying her hand at directing. She also stressed that she wanted to do more than build a career: she hoped to help others. Valentina has volunteered at a soup kitchen and is particularly concerned about homelessness.
“I have friends who don’t have a home,” she explained, describing why the issue matters so much to her.
Despite her desire for independence, the actress’s daughter admits that she sometimes borrows from her famous mother’s wardrobe. Hayek jokes that the two are constantly arguing over clothes.

“We fight over things because she takes everything from my closet,” the actress said. According to Hayek, Valentina refused to let her mother choose her outfits from an early age, and she has always admired her daughter’s independence.
These days, Valentina not only borrows her mother’s designer pieces but also helps her with makeup. “I’m good at doing my makeup, but now she’s teaching me,” Hayek admitted.
Mother and daughter also have their own way of maintaining privacy in public: they speak Spanish when they do not want others to understand their conversations. Valentina speaks French with her father.
The full profile of Valentina Pinault appears in Tatler’s December issue, which goes on sale on November 5.
