It wasn’t a grand romantic gesture or an expensive gift that won Kim Kardashian over, but the way Lewis Hamilton treats her children. According to a source close to the reality star, the British racing driver’s care and consideration for her family were among the main reasons she fell in love with him. And there is one specific detail behind the story: a puppy Hamilton gifted to his girlfriend’s children.

According to People, citing an insider close to Kardashian, Hamilton made an effort to show attention and care to her four children from the very beginning of their relationship. They are daughters North and Chicago and sons Saint and Psalm, whom Kim raises with her ex-husband, Kanye West.

“One of Lewis’s thoughtful gestures was gifting Kim’s kids a dog. But the main reason she fell in love with him is how caring and attentive he has been with them from the very beginning. He consistently goes above and beyond for them,” the source told the publication.

According to the insider, Hamilton understands how important being a good mother is to Kardashian and makes an effort to support her in that role. He helps make everyday family life easier, and Kim reportedly considers the racing driver a wonderful partner.

“Kim feels very lucky to have him in her life. She’s happy they gave their relationship a chance after knowing each other for so many years. Things between them are calm and mature. He makes her genuinely happy,” the source added.
