Trump-Signed Chocolate and a Flyover: What Made Halloween at the White House So Unusual

At the White House, guests handed out chocolate bars bearing the Trumps' signatures, a presidential aircraft flew overhead, and among the young partygoers were a Soviet tank crewman and a rotten banana. Halloween with Donald and Melania Trump took an unexpected turn this year, bringing everything from unusual costumes to a real aerial spectacle.

Two children in particularly unusual outfits quickly became the talk of the event. A young boy showed up dressed as a Soviet tank crewman, complete with a military cap, a badge featuring the USSR coat of arms and a “Tank Troops” insignia. His companion opted for a traditional Russian look, wearing a floral-patterned sarafan and a kokoshnik headdress. Photos of the unusual duo soon made the rounds on social media.

But they had some competition. Another young guest wore red pajama pants printed with portraits of Trump himself, a T-shirt bearing the number 47 and a MAGA cap. The words “MAGA FOR LIFE” completed the outfit. The president appeared to appreciate the choice.

Another child decided to transform into one of America's Founding Fathers. A white wig and a colonial-style coat made for a convincing historical costume. Trump even signed the young guest's makeshift “historical document.”

One of the evening's most unusual costumes, however, was considerably less patriotic. A child arrived dressed as a rotten banana, swapping the familiar bright yellow fruit for a darkened peel covered in brown and black spots. Among dinosaurs, Minions and other classic Halloween characters, the costume was certainly hard to miss.

The treats came with a presidential touch, too. Children received oversized Hershey's chocolate bars in special packaging. One side featured the Presidential Seal of the United States, while the other displayed a Halloween greeting and the gold signatures of Donald and Melania Trump. Not exactly the kind of chocolate bar anyone would be in a hurry to unwrap and eat.

And that was not all. An Air Force One aircraft flew over the White House, giving guests an unexpected aerial surprise. Against a backdrop of costumes, mountains of chocolate and presidential autographs, the flyover became yet another striking detail of the celebration. This year, it seems, handing out candy was not quite enough for the White House.
