12:38 5 November, 2026American actress Natasha Wilson, known for her appearances in Lifetime television movies, including The Best Version of Love, suffered a serious facial injury after being attacked by a dog at a park in Los Angeles. The actress was trying to protect her French bulldog when the aggressive animal turned on her. She now claims the attack left her with permanent injuries that have affected her ability to work.
According to the New York Post, citing court documents, the incident took place on November 7, 2024, at a dog park in West Hollywood. Wilson was walking her pet when she encountered Gregory Marcel and his dog, Scruffy.
According to the lawsuit, Scruffy approached Wilson's French bulldog and stood over it in an aggressive, dominant posture. Wilson tried to protect her pet by picking it up, but the dog lunged at her, causing her to drop the bulldog.
“Scruffy continued attacking while Wilson was on the ground, attempting to shield her dog with her own body and arms,” the lawsuit states.
During the attack, the animal bit Wilson above her right eyebrow, leaving a deep laceration and causing significant bleeding.
After the incident, Marcel drove Wilson to the emergency department at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She received stitches and was prescribed antibiotics.
However, the consequences were reportedly far more serious than an ordinary injury. According to the lawsuit, Wilson was left with a permanent, visible and painful scar. The attack also altered the shape of her eyebrow and the way hair grows in the affected area, while restricting movement of her right eyebrow.
Doctors recommended scar-revision surgery and further treatment.
Wilson also claims the attack has had a significant impact on her career. Her injuries prevented her from carrying out her usual professional activities, resulting in lost income and damage to her future career prospects.
The actress is now seeking compensation from the dog's owner for medical expenses, lost wages and damages related to her reduced ability to work.
