Eurovision 2014: Armenia representative and head of delegation speak on contest (PHOTOS)

YEREVAN. – This year is one of those rare years when we feel the breath of victory. Gohar Gasparyan, who is head of the Armenian delegation at the Eurovision  Song Contest, stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Thursday. 

Gasparyan noted that she recently participated in the Copenhagen meeting of the Eurovision delegations, and everyone there had said that Armenia will win this year’s competition. In her words, inspiring views are expressed about Armenia’s representative and song, and such a great feedback is unprecedented.  

For his part, famous Armenian showman, comedian and singer Aram MP3 (Aram Sargsyan), who will represent Armenia at the Eurovision 2014 Song Contest with the song “Not Alone,” informed that the promotional tour for this year’s competition will kick off on April 5. Aram MP3 will perform Armenia’s song for the first time for the Europeans in Copenhagen.

On April 13, he will perform in London and, subsequently, he will tour several other European and Russian cities. 

“Our song stands out by the fact that it has a beginning, a development, a solution, and an ending,” Aram MP3 noted. Aram MP3 said his favorite song is Running by Hungary’s contestant Kállay-Saunders.

The two semifinals of the Eurovision 2014 Song Contest, which will be held in Danish capital city Copenhagen, will take place on May 6 and 8, and the final will be held on May 10. Armenia will compete in the first semifinal.
