Designer gives Christmas decoration advice

According to Chinese calendar, the year of the snake begins in February, so you must hurry to appease the snake on New Year’s Eve, says designer George Harutunyan. He told NEWS.am STYLE how to decorate the home, table and Christmas tree.

Harutunyan claims this year everything must look luxurious and expensive. Colors of the year are a combination of dark blue, dark red, cherry, as to accessories the most suitable is velvet, gold and silver garters, old and wooden staff.

The house can be decorated in different ways — you can have only a tree, decorate the house, or some part of it. The designers advise to think about a family coat of arms and fix it on the fabric embroidered with gold and silver threads. It is better to decorate the house with blue and purple balls with silver and bronze sprinkles.

As for the Christmas tree, this year it should be dark green. It can be decorated with balls, wrapped in velvet, stones, fabric with golden threads. You can abandon the traditional Christmas tree and make it on your own using pillows, books, sticks and whatever you find.

The designer himself made the tree of the dark blue pillows, putting them on top of each other and fastening with gold thread. Actually, Georgiy advises to rely on your own taste.
