Netflix on Wednesday released the new trailer of The Irishman by director Martin Scorsese, and starring Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, and Joe Pesci.

The screenwriter of this film deserves special attention. Martin Scorsese has collaborated in this movie with American Armenian screenwriter, director, film editor, and producer Steven Zaillian, with whom he has worked before in the film Gangs of New York.

Zaillian has won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a BAFTA Award for his screenplay Schindler's List (1993), and has also earned Oscar nominations for Awakenings, Gangs of New York, and Moneyball.

Steven Zaillian is the founder of Film Rites, a film production company.

He directed A Civil Action, a legal drama film starring John Travolta, which was released in 1998, and for which Zaillian was nominated for the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Original Screenplay.

Also, Steven Zaillian wrote American Gangster, a biographical crime film featuring Denzel Washington, which hit movie screens in 2007.
