Famous American songwriter, author of “I'll Be There For You” theme song for the sitcom Friends Allee Willis died aged 72.
The cause of death is a cardiac arrest.
Willis was famous for her collaboration with Earth, Wind & Fire and wrote their greatest hits such as September, Boogie Wonderland, and In the Stone.
She also co-wrote the Tony nominated, and Grammy-winning, Broadway musical, The Color Purple. Willis won two Grammys from three nominations․
