Basketball legend Kobe Bryant’s sister Sharia Washington paid tribute to her brother and 13-year-old niece Gianna.

Sharia showed a tattoo featuring Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna’s jersey numbers, 2 and 24 surrounded by a snake that symbolizes Bryant's nickname “Black Mamba” and also the name of his “Mamba” academy.

This is a symbolic move as first Bryant had number 8 in Los Angeles Lakers, which he changed for 24. After Bryant retired in 2017, Lakers decided not to use these two jerseys any more.

Kobe Bryant’s two sisters Sharia and Shaya released a statement to honor memory of Kobe and his daughter.

“On behalf of our family, we join Vanessa, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri in grieving the loss of Kobe and Gianna in such a tragic accident.

“We are devastated by the loss of our brother, son, our niece and granddaughter, and our hearts go out to all the families who lost their loved ones on Sunday. Our lives are forever changed.

Thank you for your prayers, the numerous calls, texts, emails, and cards.”
