The Daily Mail: Harvey Weinstein survives coronavirus while in prison

Producer Harvey Weinstein, who convicted of rape and sexual assault, has recovered from COVID-19 while in prison, The Daily Mail reports, citing a source.

In mid-March, he had tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Weinstein was then isolated setting up a quarantine Wende Correctional Facility, a maximum security prison east of Buffalo, NY, USA.

"He had a fever and cough,” said a source close to the producer. “The man is in poor health normally speaking, and has multiple pre-existing conditions."

The source noted that Weinstein suffers from high blood pressure, heart problems, severe diabetes, and a spine condition

The source added that he has overcome a fever and cough, and has been released from his 14-day quarantine.
