Jill Biden wears Markarian dress, coat to husband’s inauguration

During her husband Joe Biden’s presidential inauguration, US First Lady Jill Biden wore a blue tweed coat with velvet cuffs, and a dress embellished with Swarovski crystals and pearls (as well as a matching face mask) designed by Colorado-born designer Alexandra O'Neill of the emerging American label Markarian, CNN reported.

Founded in 2017, this luxury brand works on a made-to-order basis out of New York City's historic Garment District.

The chosen shade of the pattern, according to the designer, symbolizes self-confidence, stability and confidence, as well as the traditional color of the Democratic Party.
