Five-time Grammy winner BJ Thomas dies in USA

Five-time Grammy-winning American singer BJ Thomas has died at the age of 79, his Twitter page reported.

A few months ago, the artist announced that he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.  The singer's representatives told Variety that complications caused by the disease were the cause of his death.

BJ Thomas won a Grammy five times in a row in 1977-1981.
