Slipknot co-founder Joey Jordison passes away

Former drummer and Slipknot co-founder Joey Jordison has passed away, The Rolling Stone and Variety reported.

Those who knew Joey knew his quick-wittedness, gentle nature, huge heart and love for everything related to family and music, the family said in a message.

Jordison, who left Slipknot in 2013, died while sleeping. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed. The funeral will be closed to the general public.
