At the funeral of Prince Philip in April, after a scandalous interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry had the opportunity to establish a relationship with his family.

Meghan Markle also did not arrive in the UK due to medical warnings over her pregnancy. And it seems that it was quite beneficial for the royal family, according to the new ending of the biography of the Dukes of Sussex, which was received by E! News.

The book, written by royal experts Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie, explains why the family did not want the 40-year-old former actress to attend the funeral at all.

Despite the difficulties Harry and Meghan faced after the interview, there was never any doubt that the prince would return to England to be with his family. Meghan also hoped to accompany Harry, but because she was pregnant, doctors did not allow her to fly.  To be honest, some members of the royal family were secretly happy that Meghan stayed in California because they did not want a circus, the book said.

A high-ranking royal source claims that they were afraid that the Duchess would organize a performance. The Queen, of course, was happy to be reunited with her beloved Harry, according to the new ending. She, in turn, wanted to support her grandmother, knowing that she felt huge emptiness after the death of her husband.

The source said the funeral was surreal for Harry, in part because the whole world was watching the procession and his family drama.  The insider explains that the family, despite the recent tensions, eventually came up with a united front, respecting His Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh.

One of Harry's friends agrees that the meeting at Philip's funeral helped the family get on the right track.  Despite the fact that they have a lot of work to do, that visit has melted the ice.
