Monica Bellucci to star in comedy about mafia

Italian actress Monica Bellucci will star in the comedy Mafia Mamma.

The movie will be directed by Catherine Hardwicke, Deadline reported.

Toni Collette and Rob Huebel will also star in the film.

The film tells the story of a suburban American woman who inherited her grandfather's mafia empire. Relying on a trusted advisor, she challenges everyone and becomes the new head of the family business.

Filming of the comedy will begin in the spring of 2022 in Italy.
