One world luxury brand after another is temporarily closing its stores in Russia—and due to the political situation in the country, PeopleTalk reported.

LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton had announced Friday that they are closing their boutiques in Russia.

Kering—which owns Gucci, Balenciaga, Yves Saint Laurent, and Alexander McQueen—is also closing its stores in Russia.

Cartier has joined them, too.

These luxury brands added, however, that they will continue to pay the salaries of their employees in Russia, as well as provide psychological assistance to them.
