Oscar-winning screenwriter, producer, and filmmaker Paul Haggis, arrested on sexual assault charges, has declared his innocence, ANSA reported.
“Young foreign woman” reported that she was forced to have “non-consensual” sexual relations over two days. The woman required the assistance of doctors and psychologists.
Haggis conveyed through his attorney, Michele Laforgia, that he demanded a speedy investigation. Rape charges had already been filed against the filmmaker in 2017.
Haggis is an Oscar winner for "Crash" and "Million Dollar Baby."
