Trailer for 'The Lord of the Rings. Rings of Power' released

The latest trailer for "The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power" series, based on the fantasy novels of John R.R. Tolkien, has been released.

Thanks to the new trailer for the series we know the name of the performer of the role of Sauron - British actor Anson Boon. The project will also star Lenny Henry ("Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"), Robert Aramayo ("Game of Thrones"), Nazanin Boniadi ("Hotel Mumbai: The Standoff"), Morfydd Clark ("His Dark Materials") and many others.

The series was directed by Juan Antonio Bayona ("Impossible," "Jurassic World 2").

The first season, which will consist of eight episodes, will premiere on the streaming service Amazon Prime Video on September 2, 2022. The cost of the first season is estimated by the creators at $465 million, potentially making the project the most expensive series in history.
