Martin Scorsese's film with Leonardo DiCaprio is set to premiere

Martin Scorsese's 'Killers of the Flower Moon' will premiere in 2023. The western starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jesse Plemons and Robert De Niro will not be in the Oscar race this season, Deadline informs.

The film was originally scheduled to be released in 2023. But Apple, which is producing, was in talks to move the date to 2022. Although the main work on the picture was completed in September 2021, it is not yet ready.

'Killers of the Flower Moon' will be the first western in Scorsese's extensive filmography. David Grann's novel is about the murder of the native inhabitants of the Osage Indian settlement. According to the plot, in the 1920s a local tribe discovers oil fields on their land. Soon the inhabitants begin to die under mysterious circumstances, so the newly formed FBI is assigned to investigate what is happening.
