Next Met Gala to be dedicated to Karl Lagerfeld

Sources close to WWD have learned that the upcoming Met Gala will be dedicated to the late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.

The event will take place in the spring of 2023.

More than 150 of his looks for Chanel, Balmain, Patou, Fendi, Chloe and his own eponymous line will be on display.

The chief fashion designer of the fashion houses Fendi and Chanel passed away on February 19, 2019. The death of Karl Lagerfeld shocked the global fashion community.
