Andy Serkis praises The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series

British actor of Armenian origin Andy Serkis, known for his role as Gollum in the epic The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power franchise, shared his impressions of the Amazon series in an interview with Collider.

“Yeah, I absolutely watched it, and it really - once you get through understanding the rules of it, and actually how loyal to the trilogy and the feel of the trilogy music by Howard Shore for the opening sequence, et cetera - I found it incredibly engaging, and I really, really enjoyed watching it,” he said.

He noted that it was easier for him to understand what was happening on screen because he dubbed the audio version of John R.R. Tolkien's original trilogy.

The action of the movie takes place in the Second Age of Legendary by writer John R.R. Tolkien - a few thousand years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
