Paul McCartney sells guitar for $77 thousand in support of Ukraine

Paul McCartney's guitar was put up at a three-day auction at Julien's and sold for $77,000 - the funds will go to help Ukraine, the auction's website reported.

In addition, Julien's raised $31,000 on the sale of the guitar of Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash and more than $11,000 - the Mexican band Maná.

In the summer of 2022, the Gibson manufacturer released a limited edition electric guitar painted in the colors of the Ukrainian flag and began collaborating with world stars who performed with these guitars at their concerts. Besides McCartney, Slash and Maná, Gibson was supported by Chic founder Nile Rodgers, My Chemical Romance and The Rolling Stones, as well as actor Jason Momoa.
