Katy Perry said she turned down a collaboration with Billie Eilish

US pop star Katy Perry has admitted that she initially refused to collaborate with performer Billie Eilish. NME reported.

Katy said her friend’s email read: “Hey, check out this new artist. I’d really like us to work with her because she was working with me for Unsub [Records].”

Perry recalled that her colleague at Capitol Records told her about Eilish and suggested that the artists work together. “It was a song called Ocean Eyes, and it was just a blonde girl, and I was like, ‘Meh, boring,'” she said.

“Big mistake, huge mistake,” she added, before joking: “Don’t let this hit the internet.”
