Julia Roberts will star in a thriller directed by Luca Guadagnino. Amazon MGM Studios has begun filming After the Hunt from a script by Nora Garrett.

Produced by Imagine Entertainment, the project centers on a college professor who finds herself at a crossroads as she confronts her dark past when a brilliant student makes an accusation against one of her colleagues. Guadagnino serves also as a producer.

Roberts' recent roles include Universal's 2022 romantic comedy Ticket to Heaven opposite George Clooney, and last year's Netflix thriller Leave the World Behind. Luca Guadagnino is known as the director of Call Me by Your Name (2017), and Bones and All (2022).
