The prestigious Michelin guide has unveiled its first Michelin Keys rating for hotels in France, making inroads into the hotel sector.
Among the 600 hotels included in the new guide, Michelin highlighted 189 hotels in Frangia, recognizing the talent and dedication of these hospitality professionals, setting a new standard of excellence in the hotel industry, writes Forbes.
As Michelin inspectors continue to search for best-in-class hotels, hotel ratings for other destinations will be released later this month.
Echoing the famous gastronomic stars, the Michelin Guide introduces a new award for hotels—Michelin keys—from 1 to 3 keys.
Awarded by Michelin Guide inspectors on the basis of an anonymous stay or visit and independent of any existing travel labels, awards or quotas, the Michelin Keys award has established itself as the new international benchmark for travelers.
After France, the Michelin Keys will be announced in the USA (Atlanta, California, Chicago, Colorado, Florida, New York, Washington) on April 24, in Spain on April 29, in Italy on May 7, and in Tokyo on April 24.
Twenty-four hotel establishments in France received three Michelin keys, 38 received two keys, and 127 received one Michelin key.
There are five such establishments in Paris. Among them, the Four Seasons George V not only offers luxurious suites and rooms, but also boasts one of the most exceptional spas in the capital. With three Michelin-starred restaurants, a gallery and bar, and every moment of your stay will be enhanced by a unique gastronomic experience.
Within the walls of the iconic Samaritania, overlooking the Seine in Art Deco style, the Hotel Cheval Blanc Paris invites you to a fascinating contemplation of the City of Light, while the Hotel Saint James Paris, the only castle hotel in the French capital, enchants with the tranquility of its gardens created by landscape designer, architect Xavier de Chirac .
The two Michelin Keys pay tribute to distinctive properties that seamlessly combine charm, eye-catching design, strong local roots, and considerable attention to maintenance.
In Sarthe, the Grand Lucé Castle, a majestic 18th-century neoclassical building, offers 17 rooms and suites that exude opulence and sophistication without sacrificing modern comfort.
Another 127 hotels received 1 Michelin key. Representing a wide range of hotel concepts, accommodation types and geographical locations, the first French ranking impresses with its amazing diversity and ability to provide an experience to suit every budget and preference.
