George Clooney delighted fans by taking a short break from shooting his new movie in Italy to chat with them. Fans could be heard shouting "Happy Birthday" to the two-time Oscar winner through the set's fence.

George, who recently celebrated his 63rd birthday, responded with "sono vecchio," meaning "I'm old."

Clooney celebrated his 63rd birthday on Monday by playing basketball with co-star Adam Sandler in between filming their new Netflix movie in Italy. Adam and George had never worked together before in three-time Oscar nominee Noah Baumbach's movie, Jay Kelly.

Plot details are being kept under wraps for now, but Deadline previously had reported that the film is a "funny and emotional coming-of-age movie."
