By Meline TonoyanYEREVAN. – Only a few days are left before final phase of the Eurovision 2014 Song Contest, which will be held in the Danish capital city Copenhagen.
Famous Armenian showman, comedian, and singer Aram MP3 (Aram Sargsyan)—who will represent Armenia at Eurovision 2014 with his song “Not Alone”—and the Armenian delegation will travel to Copenhagen on Sunday.
Gohar Gasparyan, Head of the Armenian delegation to the Eurovision Song Contest, stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Saturday.“We have returned from the promotional tour with high spirits, and we are getting ready to leave for Copenhagen in the same mood. I hope we continue with the leading positions,” Gasparyan specifically noted.
For his part, Aram MP3 shared his impressions of the promotional tour.
“We have been to Russian cities and several European countries. I have returned [to Armenia] with very positive emotions. I’m very happy that the Armenians living in our diaspora were saying that they will stand with us,” he noted, in particular. “The rehearsals will get underway on April 28, which you may follow from Aram’s official Facebook page. “We decided that Aram will be alone [on stage]; this will be more impressive. Of course, we will have an interesting show as a result of new lighting technologies. There will not be backup singers, either,” Gohar Gasparyan added, in turn.
The two semifinals of the Eurovision 2014 Song Contest will take place on May 6 and 8, and the final will be held on May 10. Armenia will compete in the first semifinal, and Aram MP3 will be the first to perform on that night.
The creator of “Not Alone” is Aram MP3 himself, the lyrics are written by Garik Papoyan, the musical arrangement is made by Lilit Navasardyan, and the music video is directed by Grigor Gasparyan.
