On November 15^th for the first time Miss Armenia beauty contest took place in Gent, Belgium. The winner of the contest became 21 years old Elen Karapetyan.  

Elen’s first runner up was 20 years old Taguhi Simonian, second runner up was 23 years old Talinn Hartpunians.  

The organizers of the show are Belgian-Armenian singer Keyoh (Karine Ohanian), her sister Anna Ohanian and their friend Tatev Manoukian.

«I came up with this idea 5 years ago and decided to continue it much bigger this year»,-the singer informed to NEWS.am STYLE.

The whole journey took about 6 months. The participants have  had many repetitions and photo shoots before the final day.

«In this 6months we also managed to have 32 sponsors. One of our main sponsor is a traveling agency who will send Ellen Karapetian to Armenia»,-says Keyoh.

According to the project organizer this was a great journey which will also have a continuation in Germany, The Netherlands, France, and also in Europe.

Keyoh who always dreamed to give young Armenian girls the opportunity to be more seen to the world, says. «Our target is to represent Armenians in Belgium in best way we can and are able. We must be seen and the world must know about us».
