The entire proceeds ($20 million) from "The Promise," a movie about the Armenian Genocide, were donated for the creation at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) of a same-name institute for human rights.
The Promise Institute for human rights has become a law school and an advanced education chain in the field, and the $20mn gift has become the largest grant ever received by the University of California School of Law for such purposes.
And just an hour ago, Kim Kardashian posted a photo on her Instagram Stories wearing a forget-me-not, the symbol created on the occasion of the centennial of the Armenian Genocide.
Kardashian also wrote: "The Promise Armenian Institute at UCLA being announced tonight!"
