Melania Trump's former senior adviser Stephanie Winston Wolkoff believes the US former first lady's marriage to Donald Trump is in jeopardy because his behavior appears to have changed.

“Let me sum it up. Perception is everything for the Trump family, so Donald’s lack of ‘chivalry’ towards Melania is very significant,” the author of the book “Melania and Me” wrote on her micro blog X.

“Donald's chivalry was to wait for Melania to go first and ensure she walked next to him. Lately, he’s been doing neither,” Wolkoff noted, posting an old video in which Donald, 77, puts his hand on

Melania’s back, letting her walk forward. The video then showed more recent footage of the former president repeatedly walking in front of his wife and leaving her several steps behind.

Some users agreed with Wolkoff. “Melania and Trump despise each other. He feels physical disgust towards her and shows no interest in her”; “He treats her like a servant”; “People pay too much attention to things. This family has been subjected to hell by the media and the court system.”

Melania previously called Wolkoff an “opportunist” after the release of her memoir, Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady. “This is a woman who secretly recorded our phone conversations, quoting passages taken out of context, and then wrote a book of idle gossip in an attempt to distort my character,” Melania said at the time.
