Charles Aznavour's daughter-in-law, Kristina Aznavour, has published some archived photos on Instagram, which were taken in 2016, during the visit of Charles Aznavour and George Clooney to Armenia. Kristina also referred to the history of the legendary chansonnier's ancestors, who had also become victims of the 1915 Armenian Genocide.

"On April 24, 2016, Charles Aznavour was in Armenia to once again make his emblematic voice heard on this tragedy, carrying the memory of his people loud and clear across the world. This tragedy was an integral part of his life, his maternal family having been massacred, and to this day, we still have not found any traces. Burn, kill, erase - a policy that continues and repeats itself today on the land of Karabakh. We remember the Armenian genocide, we commit to never forget and to work for justice and recognition.: she wrote.
Photos were taken in Tsisernakaberd during the first Aurora peace ceremony.
