The famous Italian fashion house Prada will no longer use natural fur. This change will be reflected already in the winter-summer season - 2020, The Guardian reported.
Prada creative director Miuccia Prada emphasized that the decision was made after the talks with the Fur Free Alliance. This is an international organization for the protection of animals, which already includes more than 50 companies.
“The Prada Group is committed to innovation and social responsibility, and our fur-free policy is an extension of that engagement. Focusing on innovative materials will allow the company to explore new boundaries of creative design, while meeting the demand for ethical products,” she said.
Long before Prada, many other fashion houses stopped using materials of animal origin in their collections. Armani, Coach, Versace, Michael Kors, Gucci, Burberry and John Galliano also do not use natural fur, but so far they can not give up the skin of exotic animals.
