The Eurovision 2014 Song Contest, which was held recently in the Danish capital city Copenhagen, is still discussed in Belgium, too.
Belgian singer Axel Hirsoux, who represented his country at Eurovision with the song “Mother,” did not even reach the Grand Final.
In this respect, the Record of the Day website wrote that R&B-type songs, which are “built for the dancefloor and designed with international appeal,” should be sent to this song contest.
As case in point, the website mentioned Belgian-Armenian singer Kéyoh (Karine Ohanyan).
It noted that the singer, who was born in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, writes her own songs and is working on an album, and that her musical style is similar to that of Rita Ora, or even Rihanna.
The website also noted that Belgium should have sent Kéyoh to Eurovision 2014 because the image of Kéyoh, who recently released a new music video, would have brought a lot more votes to the country.
